Bits of News

You can now order The Rose Metal Press Field Guide to Prose Poetry: Contemporary Poets in the Discussion and Practice, edited by F. Daniel Rzicznek and Cooper Dillon's own Gary L. McDowell. All the details are at Rose Metal Press! Look for Gary's debut full collection later this year from Dream Horse Press.

Check out what Anis Shivani saying about Feisty Small Presses at The Huffington Post. And if you're wandering around in the heat, head to The Poetry Foundation and read A Dog Days Reading List, by Justin Taylor, featuring The Wonderfull Yeare by Nate Pritts.

Check out what they're reading over at InDigest.

An interview with the editors is up at Constant Conversation. Take a look to learn where Cooper Dillon comes from, and is coming from.

The Wonderfull Yeare by Nate Pritts is now available from the Cooper Dillon Bookstore. Catch an interview with the author over at Bookslut! The Wonderfull Yeare includes an epigraph from Robert Duncan's "Often I am Permitted to Return to a Meadow." Visit Incliner Magazine for a short video of Pritts reading Duncan. He also has a reading from the collection at Apostrophe Cast, and new poems up in the latest diode, so check them out.

Help us in sending love and congratulations to Gary L. McDowell. He's the winner of the 2009 Orphic Poetry Book Prize from Dream Horse Press for his full-length collection, American Amen. Hear him read a poem at WMUK out of Western Michigan University.

American Amen is now available, but you can get a taste of that collection (and read different versions of poems) in They Speak of Fruit by Gary L. McDowell. It is now available, along with our other titles, in the Cooper Dillon Bookstore. Click on the tab up top to enter the store!
